Santa Singh (Boman Irani) and Banta Singh (Vir Das) are best friends. They can’t realize basic, easy
things. Due to mistaken identity, The Indian RAW Officials send them as secret agents in Fiji. The officials give them the responsibility to rescue Shankar, the High Commissioner of Fiji (Ayub Khan) who gets kidnapped in Fiji. What does happen next? Will they able to save Shankar? Will the Indian Raw Officials realize about Santa-Banta’ real identities? To know answers, you have to watch “Santa Banta Pvt. Ltd.!”
Critic’s Conclusion- The movie is based on popular jokes of Santa and Banta. However, it can’t manage to make you laugh like as these jokes. There is nothing any factor in the movie which can at least satisfy you, be it will comedy or entertainment. The movie is very clumsy and poor by all accounts. The main poor element of this movie is its weak script. Though the director tries to integrate such Santa Banta jokes in the movie, they don’t work here. From the first 15 minutes, we can’t understand that what is going on actually in this movie? The director could make this movie as a mad comedy by the tight script.
But Alas! In addition, the direction is going nowhere in this movie. It lacks continuity in situations. How come RAW Agents can’t understand that Santa and Banta, who they have sent to Fiji, are fake? How can they state that those Fake Santa-Banta are “Intelligent?” Haven’t they any doubt on them? The most irritating part of the movie is the “Hide and Seek” game. The story becomes messy. There is nothing worth watching in the movie.
We are wondering why talented actors like Boman Irani, Vir Das,Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Ram Kapoor are in this worst movie. They can’t save the sinking ship by their acting. Boman Irani and Vir Das try to tickle your bones, but unfortunately, they fail! Neha Dhupia and Lisa Haydon add the only glamour in the movie and nothing. The rest of the cast is ok.
Dialogues and jokes are repetitive. Though the music has Punjabi flavor, it can’t impress your ears. But the cinematography captures Fiji beautifully.
All in All, avoid this movie and enjoy the weekend with your family!
