Dan aka Danish Walia (Varun Dhawan) is a hotel management Trainee in a five-star hotel in Delhi. He is a careless boy, who doesn’t like his work. He doesn’t take any work seriously. He wants to become a chef and an owner of the restaurant. While working at the hotel, he often gets annoyed for everything. During the internship, the warning is given to him repeatedly because of his indiscipline. Shiuli (Banita Sandhu) is his batchmate. However, she is a very disciplined and hardworking girl. Both of them have no special relationship. One day, Shiuli falls down from the third floor at the party and goes to the coma. Dan was not present while this accident happens to her. But she asks about Dan before this accident. Dan learns about this from his friends. He touches deeply on it. Seeing Shiuli’s condition, he gets upset and starts visiting her every day. He takes care of her selflessly. He wants her recovery. A silent love story creates between them. They connect with an unsaid relationship. Will Shiuli recover from the coma? What will happen next? Varun Dhawan portrays Dan’s character with his body language, dialogue delivery, and innocent eyes. Banita Sandhu has few dialogues in the movie; however, she talks with her eyes in the entire movie. Gitanjali Rao, as a Shiuli’s mother, has done a powerful performance. The rest of the cast has made their characters believable and realistic.
The cinematography is beautiful. The songs are soulful. The background score is brilliant.
The movie seems long despite it being less than two hours. The movie has a slow speed.
