Critic’s Conclusion -The director brings the novel concept, “Reverse roles of Genders” in the movie. It is the amazing story. The movie entertains till the interval. It has a fast pace till the interval. There are some dialogues between Kia and Kabir which are interesting. Also, there are beautiful moments between them which are unforgettable. But after the interval, the movie becomes slow and stereotyped.
In the second half, the script becomes stereotyped. It shows the same thing that whether there will be a male or female earner he/she always considers himself/herself superior. Kareena’s role looks ruder and it feels unnecessary in the movie.
This interesting concept revolving around the “Gender Equality” should be more deep and vast. There does not show any development in this story. Also, the direction is pointless in the second half. The movie loses its main them through the second half. The director is desperate to reach the climax. That’s why the climax comes with the hurry. But director makes the film watchable by making small scenes interesting.
Talking about performances, Kareena Kapoor Khan fits into the ambitious girl’ role. She understands her character well and does it perfectly. The best scene of her in the film is that when she outbursts at the climax. Arjun Kapoor has improved in the movie. He acts beautifully in such scenes, but he should develop his acting skills more in the future. However, their chemistry looks adorable in the movie.
Swaroop Sampat is endearing and fresh in her performance. Rajit Kapoor has done the commendable job. Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in cameo roles are awesome.
The music is ok. Dialogues are funny. The cinematography is average. The editing is crispy.
Overall, It is an inspiring movie for young couples, watch it!
