Story-

Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) lives with his brother Veer (Varun Dhawan) in Goa. Veer loves Ishita (Kriti Sanon).  Ishita is Meera’s (Kajol) sister.  Raj and Meera have their past. They love each other.  They have broken up after such misunderstanding between them. Then they meet after the gap of 15 years.
Meera rejects Veer’s marriage proposal for Ishita. What is Raj-Meera’s past? Will they patch up again? Why is Meera against Veer-Ishita’s marriage? Will Veer-Ishita find their past? Will they become successful in bringing back Raj-Meera together?  To know answers, you have to watch “Dilwale!”

Rohit Shetty has been given blockbuster comedy-action movies by using his own style; “Dilwale” is not the exceptional one. But this time, he has given a “Tadka” of Romance to it.  He brings back charming Jodi of Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol on the screen and thrills you with their evergreen chemistry and romance.

Also, He adds today’s younger generation’s romance by his own entertaining way. What is not in this movie? Each and every element has included in this spicy movie such as Comedy, Action, Romance, Emotion, Family drama, Revenge, and of course, “Cars”!

Well, the movie hasn’t proper and unique story.  It uses SRK’s previous movies and other old Hindi movies’ formula. Such scenes have borrowed from other Bollywood-Hollywood movies/series such as they borrow “the dating scene” from “How I met your mother.” The film forgets logic.  How come have dons changed from being drug mafias to good human being?  Somewhere SRK-Kajol’s love story is losing in this Mafia-Don game.  The first half is entertaining while the second half is good too. But the scenes before the climax should have chopped as they dragging the movie beyond the limits!

Though there are such flaws in the movie, you will enjoy it for 2 hours, sure!  Just keep your brain aside and watch this masala entertainer.  Amazing Foreign locations,  Grand and vintage international cars, superb car chasing scenes, beautiful songs and dances,  Boman Irani-Johny Lever-Sanjay Mishra-Varun Sharma-Mukesh Tiwari  rib-tickling comedy, actions sequences, Gun Bullets’ sound etc. It is a complete Rohit Shetty movie!  Also, SRK- Kajol romance is a bonus point in the movie!

Here you can’t see the usual romance of SRK-Kajol as the movie shows their love-hate relationship of theirs. They have shown in more hate and fight scenes than romantic scenes. Nevertheless, their scenes (romantic and hate) have become a wonderful treat to SRK-Kajol fans!  You feel nostalgic, for sure!

Talking about performances, Shah Rukh Khan is good in both his roles-Raj and Kali. But his evergreen charm in the role of “Raj” is noticeable. His mannerisms, his signature style, his dialogue delivery all look amazing on the screen.  Kajol surprises us by her versatility of her character.  She gives tough competitions to SRK in performance by her spontaneity.  She gives a new dimension to her character.Varun Dhawan excels in emotional scenes as well as comic scenes. Kriti Sanon has done the decent job.   Varun Sharma, Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, Boman Irani were amazing in their performances.

The music is hummable.  “Gerua,” “Manma Emotion Jage,” “Janam Janam” are already top on the chartbuster.  The cinematography is beautiful.  Especially the picturization of the “Gerua” song. Costume designing and art direction are the best part of the movie; because of them, the movie becomes colorful. The dialogues are wonderful.

The editing should be crispy.

Overall, It is a full paisa Vasool family entertainer movie, go for it!
